CallFence

CallFence is designed with a privacy-first approach. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when using the application.

CallFence does not collect, store, or transmit personal data directly.

All call processing and filtering occur locally on the user's device. No user accounts, backend servers, or cloud storage are used.

However, third-party services integrated into the app may collect limited device-related data as described below.

CallFence uses Android's Call Screening Service to evaluate incoming calls in real time.

Processing includes:

• Matching incoming numbers against locally stored lists
• Identifying potential spam using network signals and local analysis

All processing occurs exclusively on-device.

The app stores the following data locally on the device:

• Blocked and trusted numbers
• Blocked call records (number, label, and reason)

This data is stored securely within Android's application sandbox and is not accessible to other apps.

Data Retention:

• Data remains on the device until deleted by the user
• All data is removed automatically upon app uninstallation

CallFence may request access to contacts to identify known callers.

• Contacts are accessed only during call screening
• No contact data is stored, transmitted, or shared

The app requests only necessary permissions:

• Call Screening Role: Required to block incoming calls
• POST_NOTIFICATIONS: Optional, used for blocked call alerts
• INTERNET: Used solely for loading advertisements via Google AdMob

CallFence does not transmit user data over the internet.

CallFence uses Google AdMob to display advertisements.

AdMob may collect limited information such as:

• Advertising ID
• Device information

This data is collected and processed by Google in accordance with its own privacy policy.

CallFence does not share personal data such as contacts, call logs, or blocked numbers with third parties.

All data is stored locally and protected by Android's security framework. Because no centralized servers are used, the risk of remote data breaches is minimized.

Users have full control over their data and may:

• Access stored information
• Delete all stored data
• Export local data for backup

CallFence does not sell user data.

The app is not intended for children under the age of 13. No personal data is knowingly collected from children.

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Updates will be reflected with a revised "Last updated" date.
